Halv/sies

Privacy policy · Effective July 31, 2026

The short version: Halvsies has no accounts and no interest in who you are. There is one optional ad — a video you may choose to watch in exchange for a blade, never forced and never mid-game — and one thing measured, whether our own ads brought you here. Neither identifies you.

What stays on your device

Your game progress — level bests, streaks, blade timers, the book — is stored locally on your device. It never leaves it. Deleting the app deletes it.

Ads inside the app

There is exactly one place an ad can appear: when you have run out of blades, the refill sheet offers a short video you may watch in exchange for one blade, up to three times a day. You never have to watch it. It never interrupts a cut, a level, or a run you have already paid a blade for, and there are no banners, pop-ups, or ads anywhere else in the game. If you own the Master Blade, you are never shown one at all. Watching or not watching changes nothing about the game itself — the shapes are the same for everyone, always.

Those videos are served by Google AdMob. When you open one, Google receives your IP address (which implies an approximate location), basic device and app information, and the fact that the ad was shown, watched, or tapped. Halvsies does not give Google your advertising identifier — the identifier is switched off on both platforms, and on Android the permissions that would grant access to it are removed from the app entirely. Every ad request we make is marked non-personalized, so the ads you see are not selected from a profile of you. Nothing about your game — your levels, scores, streaks, or purchases — is ever sent to Google with an ad request.

Install attribution

Halvsies also runs ads outside the app, to find new players. To learn whether those ads work, the app includes the AppsFlyer attribution SDK, configured in its strictest mode: it does not read your device's advertising identifier, and on iOS it never shows a tracking prompt because it does not track you across apps. What it processes: your IP address (which implies an approximate location), basic device information, a random identifier created at install (not linked to you), and a small number of in-app events — that an install happened, that a level was passed, that a purchase was made. This is used only to measure our own advertising and never shared for anyone else's.

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland

Before Halvsies measures anything at all, it asks. On the first launch you will see a single card — before the first cut — explaining that we tell our advertising partner when an install or a finished level happens. Until you answer, neither the attribution SDK nor the ad SDK starts, and nothing leaves your device.

Answering no thanks is free and changes nothing about the game: the same levels, the same daily, the same everything. If you decline, we record that refusal and our advertising partner is told your data may not be used for advertising purposes. Declining does not hide the optional reward video — it is offered on the same terms either way, because the ads we request are non-personalized for everyone regardless of the answer.

We decide whether to show the card from your device's region setting, not from your location. If your device's region is unknown or unreadable, we show it anyway.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about your install, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened while consent was in place.

To exercise any of these — including withdrawing consent — write to hello@mostperfectsip.com. We will action it through our attribution provider's deletion and consent APIs. Deleting the app also stops all future measurement immediately.

You also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

Who receives it, and where

We use a small number of processors, and no others:

These providers process data in the United States and elsewhere outside the EEA. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the providers' own transfer frameworks where applicable.

How long it is kept

Attribution data tied to an individual install is retained by our provider for up to six months from the install, after which it is deleted or aggregated so it can no longer be connected to a single install. Aggregate counts — how many installs a campaign produced — are kept indefinitely, because they identify no one. Your consent answer is stored on your device only, until you delete the app.

This website

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookieless and privacy-first. It counts page views and referrers in aggregate, so we can see whether sharing brings new players. It sets no cookies, builds no profile, and identifies no one.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. Purchases can be restored on any device signed into the same store account.

Deletion

Game progress lives only on your device — deleting the app deletes it. To have attribution data connected to your install deleted, write to hello@mostperfectsip.com and we will process the request through AppsFlyer's deletion API.

Children

Halvsies has no accounts, no social features, and collects nothing that identifies anyone — child or adult.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
